The Rise of Hitler and National Socialism
Join our Third Reich group tour to learn about the early events that ultimately led to the rise of National Socialism, Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich.
On May 25th 1913, Adolf Hitler arrived in Munich for the first time. From the party’s creation in 1920 to the end of WW2, the city was an important part of the Nazi organisation. In 1934 Hitler titled Munich the ‘Capital of the Movement’.
The tour focuses on events that happened in Munich during the 1920’s leading up to Hitler coming to power in the 1930’s. We’ll touch upon topics including Nazi symbolism, ideology, Hitler’s antisemitism and WW2 destruction in Munich. We’ll also talk about Hitler’s early life in Austria, WW1 and formation of the National Socialist party amongst other important events like the famous ‘Beer hall Putsch’.
The maximum group size is 16 people. This is a smaller group tour experience, which makes it more personable and open to encourage discussion and questions.
Children get a discount and those aged 11 years and under cost just 9€.
Throughout the tour we will share photos, pictures and interesting side facts. The tour will be led by myself or one of my small team. Each guide has their own style and plan for the tour but all are experienced in teaching the topic.
