The Rise of Hitler and National Socialism
Join my Third Reich tour to learn about the early events that ultimately led to the rise of National Socialism, Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. On May 25th 1913, Adolf Hitler arrived in Munich for the first time. From the party’s creation in 1920 to the end of WW2, the city was the heart of the Nazi organisation. In 1934 Hitler titled Munich the ‘Capital of the Movement’.
The tour is split into two parts. The first part focuses on origins and understanding of symbolism, ideology, antisemitism, propaganda and destruction in Munich. The next part focuses on the life story of Adolf Hitler in chronological order from his birth in 1889, until he becomes the Chancellor of Germany in 1933. We will also talk about a few events that happened in Munich during the late 1930s and see some original Nazi architecture.
Throughout the tour I will share a lot of photos, pictures and interesting facts. We always take a short 15 minute break in the middle and at the end of the tour I can give you a list of book recommendations upon request.
Prepare yourself for a respectable presentation, as I do have a personal family connection to this part of history. Watch the video below so you can understand why I think it is important to keep talking about this part of history.
This tour is for people with zero to a moderate knowledge on this topic.
